ADIDAS | GARETH BALE - ACTIVATION

Somewhere deep in the Welsh countryside, in Gareth Bale’s back garden, lies a 137-yard island green. A par 3 with odds of 12,500 to 1 for a hole-in-one. The kind of challenge that deserves to be seen from every angle

At the end of 2024, we headed to Wales with our friends at adidas Golf to capture a sporting moment with a twist. No tournament. No crowd. Just Gareth, his custom-built course, and a single objective. An ace!

To bring the challenge to life, we worked closely with Gareth’s team over the autumn months to get the course and every inch of the surrounding area into pristine condition for filming. We brought in a specialist greenskeeper to ensure the hole looked immaculate. The visual detail mattered just as much as the performance. On the day, we added elevated on-course branding and theatrical extras, including CO2 cannons, to heighten the energy and create something visually unforgettable.

We led a full seven-camera setup, directing each position to ensure every angle was captured with clarity and purpose. Key moments between Gareth and adidas ambassador Nick Dougherty were lightly scripted to keep the conversation natural but focused. Behind the scenes, every detail was considered, from crew catering to the structure of the production day.

Final delivery included a hero YouTube film, long and short-form edits for Sky Sports, social teasers, photography, and additional content to support adidas’ wider marketing use.

This was brand storytelling with a playful edge, crafted with care, precision, and a sense of fun. A true collaboration with one of our longest-standing clients, and a perfect example of what happens when attention to detail meets creative freedom.
